Our purpose

Who we are

A bridge organization for equal partnership.

The African European Development Center is a Finland-based non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening cooperation between Africa and Europe through sustainable development, capacity building, innovation and intercultural dialogue.

AEDC was established as a platform for African diaspora communities, civil society organizations, institutions, businesses and public authorities. Its role is to support meaningful partnerships that contribute to social, economic and cultural development across both continents.

Our organization creates space for dialogue, mutual learning and joint action. We believe sustainable development is strongest when communities are active participants, not passive audiences.
